I talked about some early Euro 2020 predictions back when the 2020–21 Champions and Europa Leagues were still in their quarterfinals stages. Normally, I wait until squads are announced to make predictions, but my opinions didn’t drastically change once they were revealed. Let’s see what came of those predictions as well as reviewing the biggest events of the group stage. Then it’s time to look forward to the Knockout Stage and navigate those predictions knowing how the 16 advancing teams will be positioned.
There’s no being cocky about predicting Italy to finish first, given their quality and the…
In the first installment of this series that combines my love for travel and geography, I wrote about a few of the attractions Italy has to offer. This time we head roughly 2,500 miles to the Northwest to Iceland, per the votes I received from the last blog.
Disclaimer: This is not meant to be a comprehensive travel guide, just me expressing my thoughts on a country I wish to travel to in an entertaining but succinct way. The goal is for you and I to visualize ourselves visiting this country.
Welcome to Iceland
Iceland is located in the Northwestern…
After watching the first four episodes of The Challenge: All Stars on Paramount Plus, the 22 contestants who started this season have been reduced to 18. This feels like the perfect time to assess where these players stand for a couple of reasons. There have been two male and two female elimination rounds, so that’s provided a good amount of opportunity in the context of this 9-episode season to see what these veterans are made of. Furthermore, 18 divides perfectly by 3 to give us equal groups of 6 for contenders, dark horses, and the field. Since they are competing…
For longtime followers of my Medium account, you may remember the last time I wrote a Survivor article. Survivor: Winners at War, the show’s 40th season, seems like ages ago due to this pandemic. This very pandemic produced the first break in the two season per calendar year trend that has occurred since 2001. Thankfully, a new season is around the corner albeit with some interesting and potentially unnerving news regarding a possible change in format. The rumor that Survivor’s 41st season could be reduced to 29 days has people worried about the format and quality of the game. Personally…
Welcome to a new blog series I am introducing. A departure from my usual topics, I am hopeful this can become one of my mainstays. While many people who read one of my articles may only be interested in some of what I write, this is something we can all be bonded by: a love for travel and learning about the world.
Having visited five countries in my travels outside of the United States, I’ve gotten a taste of what the rest of the world has to offer through Canada, England, France, Mexico, and Spain. That still leaves roughly 190…
This is an exciting time to be a football fan as we approach the Euro 2020 (in 2021, I know it’s confusing) tournament this summer but there’s still a lot of European club competition action to recap left as well! I will also give some early Euro 2020 predictions based on the results of the last international break. So let’s begin!
Europe’s Sweet 16
UEFA Champions League
1 Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund
2 Bayern Munich vs Paris Saint-Germain
3 FC Porto vs Chelsea
4 Real Madrid vs Liverpool
Winner of 1 vs 2 and 3 vs 4 face each…
I do not claim to be a superfan of The Challenge to the extent I am for Survivor, although I’ve come to love this show in the short time I’ve watched it. To be honest, the first season I watched live was Total Madness. Between Total Madness and Double Agents, I binged every season from 11–34 on CBS All Access/Paramount Plus (except 14, the lost season) and then I watched the Inferno II as well once it arrived on Netflix. …
March Madness is fast approaching. Whether you’ve watched as much college basketball as humanly possible over the last 4 months or you watched 5 minutes of a game by accident, here are some fun facts about the 68 teams competing in this year’s edition of the men’s tournament. Use this to get you hyped for the upcoming games, impress your friends, or curb boredom during the pandemic. Let’s get started.
Big Ten: Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, Wisconsin (9)
ACC: Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech (7)

After viewing the introductory trailer for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (coming to the Nintendo Switch this November) and giving some time to reflect, I have come up with a list of items I hope are included and addressed for the upcoming remakes of the beloved Diamond and Pearl (Nintendo DS, 2006 in Japan/2007 Worldwide). I do not expect them all to come to fruition, but the more that is included in the final product, the more enjoyable the experience will be for new and returning players alike. Without further ado, let’s get started.
