Survivor Winners at War Week 2 Review

We are back to a normal 1 hour (42-ish minutes in truth) helping of Survivor action this week and my only hopes were for it to feel like a strong narrative with many voices that wouldn’t be drowned out by the twists. Let’s see if I got what I wished for and who stood out in the process.

A Peek at the Edge

We get a brief glimpse of Amber acclimating to her existence on Edge of Extinction. It may have seemed inevitable that she or Rob would take an early hit but it doesn’t make it any less devastating to be voted out early. The silver lining is she can still help Rob through the Edge of Extinction as we will see in the next scene.

An Emblem of the Fallen

Rob getting a fire token is a good thing but it felt more like receiving a letter from the army if a loved one was killed. It’s little consolation for the feeling of loss that comes with it. Rob remains in game mode and runs scenarios in his head as he tries to move forward.

Some More Extinction Action

Amber and Natalie are met with a riddle that leads to a hunt for answers. Amber is bewildered but Natalie manages to find an advantage. It offers a player in the main game “safety without power” by allowing the user to leave Tribal Council before the voting begins. Obviously it has no use on the Edge but it can be sold for one fire token. Natalie thinks hard about who could benefit from this, and knowing that she gave Jeremy a token and…
